Reflective Learning: Reading

In the last session, we looked at reflective learning.  Since, then I have read the documents that were asked.  They contained some good ideas about reflective learning (Kolb and Gibbs) and made me think about looking back at what I have learnt.  I don't really tend to look back at my notes and think about what happened and analyse the idea that I have settled on.  I'll have to start considering these thing in order to help my learning.  Starting a learning journal seems like a good idea because its a good way of keeping track of any thoughts I had while reflecting on my work.

Reflective Learning: Thought Shower

Evaluation on group work in seminar

During our first seminar on Developing Key Skills in ICT, we were asked to research, as a group, a common interest we all shared.  Working with Robyn and Holly, we couldnt agree on a topic so we made one up.  We decided to look at Zorbing.  There were certain things that we had to keep a look out for on our chosen site.  These included who made the site and when it was last updated.
As a group, I think we worked very well.  The workload was shared out between us and we each had soemthing to say when we presented our findings to the rest of the class.
Below is my evaluation of another presentation shared in class.
Shark Cage Diving:
The group shared plenty of information about the site, including prices and age limits.  They also gave in insite into the organisations that sponsor the site.  Their workloadWork spread evenly through all members of the group and everyone had something different to say about the site.  They said that they looked at the links associated with the page and that they think they are valid.  Secure method of payment included on the site were discussed in detail.  They also talked about the links to facebook and twitter so that users can follow them on social sites if that is what they prefer.

The first post is always the worst...

Morning guys! Just a few facts...my name is Leah, 19 years old, from the bright and sunny Wales.  I have started my first year of Educational Studies in Swansea Metropolitan University.  I decided on this course after doing a bit of work experience at a local primary school, to find that I really enjoyed helping the children with their work and listening to their strange stories.  My grandmother and mother both work in schools so I think thats where I get it from.  That's all for now!
